Specializing in Play Therapy for Children Ages 3+
Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of coping. Play is a child's first language and toys are their words. Through safe, supportive play experiences, a child's developing brain can build new connections, process difficult experiences, heal, and create new positive experiences in the playroom.
Stacia is a Certified Play Therapist who works with children ages 3-12. Play therapy sessions are typically 30-50 minutes, depending on the child's age and individual needs.
The teen years can feel overwhelming for both teens and parents. Stacia provides a warm, nonjudgmental space where teens can feel heard and understood while working through anxiety, OCD, big emotions, friendships and relationships, academic and social pressures, self-esteem, identity, family changes, and other challenges. Therapy is tailored to each teen, helping them build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen their sense of self while supporting healthy communication and connection with parents when appropriate.
Families can go through seasons when communication feels difficult, emotions run high, or parents and children feel disconnected. Stacia works with families to strengthen relationships, improve communication, navigate family changes, and build healthier patterns at home. She also incorporates Filial Therapy, a play-based approach that helps parents strengthen their relationship with their child and learn skills to support their child's emotional and behavioral needs.
Feeling grief, loss, anger, or struggling with a major life transition? Adjusting after a big move to the Lowcountry? Stacia provides a warm, supportive space to help you navigate life's challenges with individual counseling tailored to your specific needs. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you better understand yourself and move forward. Stacia is certified in EMDR, utilizes AEDP, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and is trauma-informed. She works with young adults, new moms, and adults through all stages of life.
Relationships can get stuck in painful patterns that leave both partners feeling misunderstood, disconnected, or alone. Stacia specializes in helping couples understand how their individual attachment styles shape the way they communicate, respond to conflict, and seek connection with one another. Through Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an attachment-based approach, she helps couples recognize the patterns keeping them stuck, better understand one another's needs, and build a stronger, more secure emotional connection.
Therapy doesn't always have to happen in the office. Stacia offers secure teletherapy for clients throughout South Carolina and Missouri, allowing you to connect from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Virtual sessions provide the same supportive, personal connection while making therapy easier to fit into a busy schedule.

Stacia brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work, offering compassionate, individualized care to each client she serves. Having walked her own path of healing, she understands what it feels like to be on the other side of the room—and she uses that perspective to create a space that feels safe, calm, and truly supportive.
She works with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families, always with the goal of helping them feel more connected, secure, and understood. Stacia believes in showing up authentically, viewing each person as a whole, and using an attachment-based lens to guide the healing process.
Her heart is especially drawn to supporting women through the many seasons of life—whether it's the tender early days of motherhood, walking through grief, or finding strength and clarity in the aftermath of a difficult relationship. Wherever you are in your journey, Stacia is here to walk alongside you with care and hope.
My focus as an LPC is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. Research shows that the relationship connection between therapist and client is the most important factor when it comes to healing. It is incredibly important to find an attuned therapist that best meets your needs and is a good fit. “Together, let’s do the hard work of the heart work.”
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Call (803) 702-1177 to make an appointment for therapy in Bluffton, SC.
